Fitting Angel eyes

Postby marthill » Tue Jan 20, 2009 12:01 pm

Hi i have just purchased some angel eyes for my 52 plate and wondered how easy they are to fit?
Does anyone know where there is a guide or can anyone offer some advice would like to do myself to save on garage costs .
Do we need any special tools?
Any help would be good thanks in advance.

It’s no trouble to do at all, but you will need your lights realigned.

Here is your guide

http://www.meganesport.net/bumperandintercoolerguide.htm

Ok it’s for the 225 but it’s all the same.

You will need a decent torque set. A set of long noise pliers and about 1.5 hours.

I’ll take a picture and show you the results.

O and while you are doing it, have the bumper off, it’s a great chance to put ultra white bulbs in the fogs, and replace the horn with something that greater than a mouse squeak.

What they don't show is that you need to transfer the bumpersupports that are connected to your current headlights to the new ones. It's the large black plastic piece that's mounted under the headlamps. It's riveted to the lamphousing.

The beam pattern is perfect... I had them aligned properly.

With the HIDs the light is incredible, at least three times as bright and travels much further down the road. My full beam doesn’t make much impact now... not that I could see it being needed any more.

I suppose you could always get another kit for the main beam.

Ive just fitted a kit (H4 hi/lo) to my work van (Citroen dispatch) and the difference is unbelieveable.
