Hi, all! Im from Greece and as you know we have plenty of sun here. And that's the problem with my Meg! i've noticed that when my car is in the sun for a long period (when the cabin is hot) when i press the start button the engine turns on and then it turns off. To stay the engine on i have to push the accelerator for a while. This dosen't happens when the car has normal temperature (morning, night) or is under shade. Any answers will appreciated.
Guys sorry for my English.

I don't think it matters where you are whethers is the UK or Greece. There are loads of posts on this site all with the same issue.
My car does it too. Its starts great in the icy cold mornings but not so well in the warmer days. I was told it could be something to do with my coil pack. I had that replaced 2wks ago coz the toxic fume filter light came on with loss of power. It helped with the starting issue for afew days but its gone back to the way it was. I have press it the start about 5 times & its doing me nut it! I've been told it might be a tdc sensor or crank sensor.....both of which mean nowt to me.
I figured.....If it stops working all together then I'll worry about it but for now, the car starts...ish!!!!!!
