Newbie, wifes car

Postby Bumpy macaroon » Sat Oct 27, 2007 6:39 pm

Wifes motor 1.4 16v, 05 plate 'Rush' Ottomen blue mileage present 12000. had a few probs over the last two years:

Indicator/light stalk - twist light switch fell off - warrenty repair
Steering reach/rake jammed - plastic surround out of place following fix for above - dealer rework
Would not start from clutch pedal - switch wire snapped (prob caught with big feet, mine not the wifes) - warrenty repair
Coil pack 3 shot - AA man repair (free AA cover)
Door not locking - main servo shot (driver door) - servo/lock replaced under warrenty
Water leak pax door card pocket - Warrenty repair
Coil pack 1 shot - Nice AA man again

Apart from that it is a great car, our dealer has been very good even if they did cause the steering reach/rake fault from not putting it all back together right first time. and at end of day we are buying another one from them a Dci this time due to 300mile + journey I make each week gone for the sport hatch Dci 106 dynamique in Mercury silver (because it came second Doh!) :D

Well mines a blue one, BUT, inspite of the total ineptitude of the local Ren agent, who failed to fix a relatively minor problem whilst creating a major safety issue, it really is now earning it's keep. If you drive gently the mpg is amazing, and for a 1.5 diesel has enough push when needed.

Sound car.

While I'm here can anyone confirm the service interval for a 55 plated 106dci car?  Mine had one at 12k, one at 22k. Am I ok up to 36k/3years or which comes sooner?

Cheers,
B.[/quote]
