Non demisting passenger door mirror

I've noticed that the passenger door mirror remains misted up all the way to work these cold mornings (approx half an hours drive). Yet the drivers door mirror de-mists after a couple of minutes. Both mirrors are supposed to have heating elements. Has anyone else had this problem or Know what the problem is?

Taking a guess that the heating element is not connected any more, or not working. I'd think it possible, although unlikely that the connection could get damaged. I know you can get replacement mirrors, so that might be worth a go unless you have a helpful Renault dealership...
