Starting problems Please help anyone.

I Have a problem on my Megane Hatch 16vvt 53 REG booked it in to renault city for next tuesday and have been reading about this dephaser pulley problem on your site and its scaring me but I must say that mine is displaying a different kind of starting problem.
When you start it up hot or cold it starts ticks over for about 20 to 30 seconds and then stalls if I start it rev it a bit and drive it down the road get to the next junction it holds the rev's fine.
also I came home from devon the other day never stalled once its only when I press the start button it shows this problem when im driving it its fine no noises, rattles or kangerooing its only when I switch off and switch on again. TDC Problem???
I did notice on one of the post that someone said about a sensor that has problems when you over fill it with fuel which I did do when I went to devon.
PPPlease give me some advise before it takes its trip to renault service Im sorry but with my experience of renault whitehouse dartford I just don't Trust them.....

Just read yours. If you look under Gordon in August you will see I had the same problem EXACTLY.
Once I got it to move off it never gave any probs until I stopped and switched off-then press start and dies after 15 secs each time. Mine is a 53 1.6 vvt also.
Dealer seems to have fixed it, but am waiting to hear what the problem was.
There is a recall now on resetting up injectors on computer (or something!) which according to Renault gives exactly the symptoms you describe.
When I find out, I will post on Forum.
See your prob. was in July. Is it fixed and what did they say?

I had it in at renault and thats exactly what they did to mine they reset the injectors and it seems to be running fine cost me about £80 for a diagnostic.
