Vibrating stereo remote controls

Hi,

Does anyone else have a problem with their stereo remote control vibrating constantly? Mine does it all the time and it is driving me mad! Ive had a look in a haynes manual at where the screws holding it in are located as i thought i might be able to just tighten them - turns out you have to take the steering wheel off to do it so i wont be attempting that!! Also dont want to pay a garage labour time just to tighten a screw!

Has anyone had the same thing and has got any bright ideas on how i can stop the vibrating noise before i pull the thing off to stop it once and for all!!

Same thing happened on the Wifes Clio. The whole control was replaced under warranty becasue the volume buttons came loose.

Is it the volume buttons or the whole unit that's loose? If it's the whole unit can you try packing it out with foam or PVC tape?

it is the whole unit - ive been trying to think of a way of packing it out with something, but without being able to unscrew it to put something between the control and the bit its vibrating against im not sure what to use!

hadnt thought of pvc tape though which might work so il give it a go - thanks!
