Hi all This is a classic problem I gather from all the internet posts on this.
I can usually sort out most problems with cars but I cannot see how to sort out the 2 front windows on this car. Both windows fail to work and it looks like the window regulators. Connections cleaned and fuses all ok.
How do I get at the things? I have removed the door cards only to find a large metal plate in the road. This is only evident on the cabriolet version of the car as many of the 'how to ' videos just show the standard megane with its easy to get at motors and regulators.
Do I need to cut this plate away or is there a complete unit that somehow slides into position.
I'm pretty desperate as I have just been quoted £700 to sort out the two windows, so any advice most appreciated.

Re: 2006 Dynamique window woes
there is an inner metal panel (like a double skin) inside the door mostly obscuring the motor and regulator mechanism on the 2006 dynamique (gaudy champagne coloured one). It makes it impossible to directly access the motor. hence me asking does the whole assembly come away in some other way. I did have an image of it but cant find at at the moment. thanks

Re: 2006 Dynamique window woes
you wouldn't happen to know if the cabrolet temic regulators are the same as the regular megane? can't seem to find an answer to this, but they are listed separately on the few sites selling them (all out of stock) therefor looking at the basic megane one.

i think ( from memory ) that the cc has a one touch closure, do a search on here as some one posted not to long ago about having theirs repaired for a cc

Re: 2006 Dynamique window woes
great stuff, I will do. Using the manual I managed to get the rear window mechanism out and check the regulator. It seems bad but the motor works ok with 12v directly into the motor pins. The drivers window is also fixed.
From taking apart the rear regulator module I strongly suspect that it is identical to the regular megane unit. The extra features are added elsewhere in the circuit. I could be wrong but the PCB code on the CC one seems to be the same as a non CC reg
