Hi all,
I have changed all brake pads (front & Rear) they were all really low. Everything went well 'but' now whilst driving it I notice a slight delay in braking reaction, seems slower to act.
Any ideas? I have now heard people say you should gentle scour the new pads before fitting them? Or maybe I didn't clean the discs of and got grease on one of them, although I'm 100% sure I was thorough.
Any advice or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Chaz

new pads need a few hundred miles to bed in , dont do any fast speeds and hard braking till you are sure the pads a well bedded in

Re: Megane MkII Brake problem
Do the discs look as new?
Are the pads of a premium brand or OEM?
Are you sure the discs are not contaminated?
Are the brake hoses like new?
Have you bled a litre of brake fluid to renew it?
Have you removed all traces of corrosion?
Did you torque everything to the specs, as in the factory manual (in the sticky thread)?
At least one "no", and you've got the answer. Otherwise, it's a matter of bedding in. In any case, the brakes in a Megane should feel like the car is able to stand on its front wheels if you press strongly enough.
