Can not open boot on megane 1.9dci

My boot will not open even when the rest of the car is open, is there a fail safe to get in the boot?

Mines the same, the way i have got it to work is to push the boot release button on the key card then the button on the boot.

Got locked out of my boot on my tourer; the wiring had broke on the hinge from the body to the tailgate. Also, other wires had broke in same place, for number plate light, heated screen and rear wiper. You can find emergency boot release location in the handbook, mine was a white plastic clip on the boot lock that you release with a screwdriver, but you have to fold rear seats down and get in from inside. Not something you wanna do every time you go shopping. Hope this helps
