Re: opening roof
When you say that you can open the roof to just half way does that mean with the engine running or perhaps just ignition on because some have said that the roof will move on its own after a few minutes which wouldn't be nice if you got your hand in there at the time?
Can the ignition be switched off with the roof half open and will it operate as normal when the ignition is switched back on?

Re: opening roof
i opened the roof half way but left the ignition on and engine running to keep the hydraulics pressurized , it didn't drop and it was open for about 20 minuets, i would not open with ignition off and engine not running

Re: opening roof
I'm with you freelanderuk I'v always opened and closed the roof with the engine running.
I'd be interested to know though if you can switch the ignition off with the roof half open/closed without screwing up the opening/closing programming sequence because it could be useful if you wanted to do some lengthy work on the opening mechanism. I do fully appreciate though that with switching the ignition off you could have a potentially dangerous situation through losing hydraulic pressure.
I'm sure I read an article some time ago about a tool for supporting a partially open roof on a CC but I cant remember where.
