Window not working?

Hi guys, Got a problem with my drivers side window, nothings happening when i want to lower it.

Ive read loads of problems with these and wondered if any one can help?
There doesnt seem to be anything happening, no motor noise or anything when i press the button. I checked the fuse and that is ok.
Im new to all this car fixing thing so any advice would be great.

Easiest thing to try is move the plug that goes into the regulator around a bit, not very technical but sometimes works. Try removing the speaker and have a feel around for it (the regulator/motor is behind the triangle of gold screws you can see when the speaker grille is removed to give you an approximate location)
Removing the door storage compartment can sometimes give better access too
