Sealant or Gasket on K4M Water Pump?

Postby OwenBoy » Thu Mar 24, 2011 8:23 pm

Hello all,

Doing a Dephaser/Cambelt/Auxhillary/Waterpump on a 2004 1.6 16v tomorrow..

I have all genuine renault parts and no gasket for the waterpump.

I have assumed I need to use a bead of sealant is this correct?

MAny Thanks for any Advice

When I did this job on the 1.9dci a gasket was imperative. I posted a how to somewhere on here. You can see why the gasket is necessary.

Best advice for Megane owners: sell it before it bankrupts you!
