atm ive only got the subs actually in my car it was more a question of when i start putting in the other amp and speakers.

o and the live is from the battery and earth on a bolt in the boot

my amps alipne 1.1000 or something like that so its rms is 1000w aswell so it shouldnt be that im over powering the amp.

decided its prob best just to get some good replacements for the standard ones instead of replacing them since my headunit powers them at 55rms anyway lol but any help as to stopping this dimming would be good.

the bloke in the audio shop said its cause my subs are drawing to much power from my battry and alternator. if i got a power cap would it stop it? and how would i wire it in lol

was looking at getting this one

The size of the cap required would be roughly the size of your battery. So, erm, not the solution.

i got dual inphaze totaling 1400 rms with a kenwood competition amp, i also have a 1.2 fared but its not powerful enough. mine dims even with the capacitor. only way forward is with a bigger batter maybe a yellow top. or a 2 or 3 fared capacitor but the price you will pay for such a capacitor you will need to pay same price as a good battery. i hope this helps. i use the car audio centre in ilford.

You would wire a second battery with a power line from the original and then earthed to the body.

The amp would be set in series with the second battery.

MAKE SURE IT IS THE SAME SIZE AS THE ONE UNDER THE HOOD. Or over charging can damage one of the batteries.
