Diesel plus winter = ?
I'm going to Sweden for skiing and checking the weather forecast it seem to be VERY cold up there: -36C / -33F. Do I need to add some anti-freeze to the dieselfuel and if so, what is the mixing for a full tank ?

Re: Diesel plus winter = ?
I would have thought that the Diesel being sold in Sweden will have anti-waxing agents in it?

Yes there should be something on the market. Diesel starts to gel at about -9 I think.
It's been -7 to -10 around our way for a couple of nights now. We have about 10" of snow on the ground, and it's still falling thick!

tell me about it. 20 mins to get to other side of my village to see my workmate to go work in his Audi A3 Quattro and then an hour to get from there to Ashton M60 turn off. snow came down heavily so called in and was told to go home as we'd never make it back home with the forecasted 10 inches.

Check the quality of your engine coolant too - if it freezes it could crack the block. Renault did a check on mine (so called free 25 point check) when I took it in for the radio code and it was only good for -10C..
