TDC Sensor

Left my car in this morning to Charles Hurts Renault (belfast) to be ripped of and have the rotary swtich replaced as the air bag light has been on a while. Got a phone call from the guy about 30mins ago saying the cost to change the Rotary Switch would be £230 + £88 which is a diagnostic charge so thats £318 (£88 just for the pleasure of them looking at the fecking problem....) while i was on the guy also threw a few other problems my direction..... said i need the TDC Sensor replaced, also that ive "blown" the right side of my exhaust ??(whatever that means) and that i should have the timing belt changed, which i can understand as the car has 60,000 miles on the clock.

Said the cost to change the Rotary Switch & the TDC Sensor is £390 + £88 diagnostic charge (£478). Also had the nerve to tell me i should replace my wipers as they were smudging the screen, i only replaced them in March!

Told him i couldn't afford to do any of that at the moment as heading on Hols next wk.... he said he would recommend getting the rotary switch done and told me he could do it for £280 all in, including the sh1tty diagnostic charge! how can he just drop £40 like that?!!

So just wondering if someone can tell me,

How much they've paid to have a TDC Sensor replaced?
Is it a job that i could possibly do myself? (like the igination coils)
How much for Timing belt change? Guy told me it would be (£370) through them.

yes i got simler price from benfield £330. for oxy senser and cam senser.for get that price go tray my self cam senser £33 and the upstream oxy senser £90 save money what a rip off. tray youre self funk renalt.
