Hello,

I am wondering about the door speaker size/depth. Does anyone have any info on this?

I also read that using expansion "rings" or other methods of expansion often result in leaks. Has anyone managed to installed larger speakers successfully?

Do a search. There is loads of posts on here, it is possible to buy adaptors that leave the speakers on show, but the pioneer custom fit ones are really good. Especially when paired with the rear pioneers to match. Ive put a guide up on changing the rear ones on a 3door.
