Well its a commitment really, you take the air box out, you aint getting it back in lol
Its an arse of a job, gotta take out the battery, ecu, battery tray, disconnect the air box then just yank it out!

The 90degree bend pipe i just put it where the pipe came from the back of the engine (normally that end would go straight in to the top half of the air box)

Mines 1.9dci...

Think the set up slightly different myb, as mine has 2 screws going in2 airbox, so I'd prob have2 saw off the end of the pipe with MAF!! Lol

Does the ECU just un-plug????

What the hell is a MAF lol?

The 90 degree bend pipe i cut of from another cold intake pipe as I could find the right diameter at the time but I'm sure Samco do them

Llf!! dont u speak mecanhic chat?? hahaha MAF=Mass Airflow Meter. Thing measures amount air in2 engine and relys to ECU...

DIY job then it looks like!!

Ur bumper looks well on your motor checked it out afew times!! Seemed like abit of a pain fitting it then?? (Like most things on the megane) lol :-)

I'm not much of a mechanic balmer! I'm a designer I make things look good! hahaha

Yeah there wasn't one on there :-S so I guess that model doesn't have one or it somewhere in the back of the engine. I disconnected the box and put the filter in its place.

HaHa!!

All cars have them which have EFI (EFI=electronic fuel injection), as it tells the ECU much air coming in2 engine so can balance the fuel mixture correctly with the air...

Ckecking your filter Pic there, the halfords in N. Ireland nver seem 2do fancy carbon filters!! Lol
Have u that filter hooked up2 the standard cold feed pipe??

The cold air feed blows towards it but havent got it connected yet as I have brought a massive carbon canister and air filter. So i am planning on a mad one!

You can have my filter if your really want for £15 +p&p, only 6 months old. As it wont be no good to me anymore.
Or I can get you the new one from my local Halfords for £34.99 plus p&p and post it out for you.
