No, not yet. I am just making sure I have all the facts before doing the job.

Depends on the weather, but Friday is possible, failing that any day next week.

Driving home from work the other night behind a colleague and she commented the next day, "Why were you driving with side lights".

I wasn't, I had dipped beam on and the bulbs I currently have aimprovementvement on the original bulbs that came with the car.

i got the kit aswel but i couldn't fit it as i couldn't take off my bumper :cry . the screw on the wheel arch won't come off it just spins round n round. tried using a angle grinder to cut it off but as there ain't much space around there its actually melting the linear :banghead . gonna try a dremel cutter and see if that can cut the screw off.

Finally got the screw off the wheel arch, the dremel cutter worked a treat. Got the bumper off and fitted the xenons along with led sidelights and silvertec indicator bulbs. Took around 1hr to fit but well worth it

Does the car need to be up on stands or is there enough room to work without doing this?

don't need the stands, once the bumper is off you just unscrew and remove the whole headlight unit and you will have more than enough room to fit the xenon ballast. heres a link i used to remove the bumper and the headlight.

Doing the job now. Had a problem getting one of the lugs to let go at the top of the front panel but it came off eventually.

All stripped down now and am having a rest till I have cooled down with a squash with ice. Very warm here.

Then I will see what I can use to cut the holes in the covers. I was sure I had a cheap version of a dremel with loads of attachments but can't find it, so may use a drill bit.

I wish I had chosen a cooler day, me and the sun do not get on!

When I took out the existing bulbs, I found that the drivers side was not sat right, it was at an angle so that would have made matters worse.

I see that each bulb wiring has 2 x flat blades, where do these go?

Not read all instructions yet.

Wife keeeps interrupting me!

The flat blades are effectively the blades of the original bulb, they take to feed from the plug that goes onto the original bulb..

Let me know I you have any other problems :-)

Where exactly did you position the ballasts?

I have put them on the bumper where it goes into the car and fits on the chassis, but they seem to be in the way slightly when I put the light housing into position.

Then I can start to reassemble after testing them.

I put them on the back of the bumper reinforcement... Taped and secured with tie wraps, well out of the way there..

So if I look at the bumper bar from the front, you put them on the rear of the bar that is there?

I put them on top of the bits of that bumper that go in toward the car. They are in the way there and it would be difficult to make the connections due to cable length.
