Service Light Can i turn it off ???

Hi All

I got a 2004 1.9d Cab

Can anybody tell me if i can turn the service light off myself without going to main dealer

I done a service on it myself about 5 weeks ago

Did it myself earlier this year. Think you get use right stalk button to flick to the menu showing milage to next service then just hold the trip reset button on dash. Can't remember if it's in the haynes manual or the megane hand book but its definitely in one of them.

Ye i tryed that fix but it didnt work just changed the millage till next service

I still got the service sign and the engine sign lit up

i did mine

put key in slot

scroll to the service needed what ever on dash display

press and hold the left stalk with the 3 dots on wait

spanner will start to flash

keep holding

off it will go job done start can and go

You can reset it with an ELM327 interface and software for a laptop. £30 will buy what is required. The same amount will probably be charged by a garage for the same thing - so it's a good investment. You can also read the fault codes that caused the light (more importantly).
