Parking Pataweyo ....... without his cat

Postby wanda » Thu Dec 02, 2010 10:56 am

With the snow around people have abandoned their cars near our house. I went for a little walk yesterday and found the traffic warden slapping tickets on cars....... :-( :nut in this weather......

Oh believe it!! I saw one the other day slapping a parking ticket on a car whaich had disabled badges displayed, why, because 1 of it's front wheels was touching the lines of the disabled parking bay :banghead

Traffic wardens can only give a ticket if the yellow lines are visable... if they give you a ticket still, take a picture of the road conditions, showing you cannot see the double yellows, apeal the ticket, and you shouldn't need to pay the fine!

Mother is a traffic warden ;)

Thought wardens could still ticket for dangerous parking ie on a bend or too close to a corner?
Not just on double yellows
I live just off the brow of a hill on a blind corner and cars are parked on the left hand side of road blocking my view to exit the junction i WOULD ticket them all

If conditions are bad enough to cover marking/signs (any type of warnings/instructions) then no, nothing anyone can do about it.... fortunately, if their car gets damaged in that place, it's them who have to deal with it .. :D
