Lowering...

Postby JackMatt » Mon Aug 02, 2010 4:47 pm

Hi, I am thinking about lowering my Megane II 2.0, and I can't decide wether to drop it 30mm or 45mm....bearing in mind I have the 17" nerva sport alloys.

I want to see/feel a difference but I don't want the hassle of things going wrong. (I.e hitting the sump)

Any ideas, or past experiences would be very helpful.

Cheers :grin

I have the same motor but in a saloon.

I have her on coil overs.

I can go as low as 50mm without a problem when driving.

Athough 70mm the odd time depending on where im going.

45mm will not be a problem.

I've lowered mine on -45mm springs today. Shapens up the handling greatly and gives the car a real nice stance. I will be adding pics up later of before and after shots. A well worth mod

If you can’t afford coil overs buy Ebach springs.

They drop the height without compromising ride comfort.

The like of Spax springs are so stiff to produce the same ride height, they are uncomfortable IMO.

It all comes down to the grade of steel you are prepared to pay for.
