Does lowering a car make it more fuel efficient at speed?

No it wont changes fuel use, but it will let you go faster into corners. :D

Was thinking the new bmw 3.2d efficient or what ever it is called is basically a tweaked version of the normal 3.2d. One of the things they where saying was that by droping the ride height they have reduced the drag slightly, perhaps there isnt much or significant difference with height alone.

It's the aerodynamics that make the difference, the lowering is just part of it.. :)
