HI boys and girls

Fitted the splitter this weekend but sadly i did not have a camera on me! :-( It was really easy to do just needed to trim it now in length slightly will get some pic up when I get a chance.

only just noticed this post,

you just need to trim about 4-6" off each end of the splitter, and cut the tabs off the middle bit, it will all be very straight forward once you have the splitter infront of you. i put some self tappers in to hold it on, about 6. i wouldnt suggest nuts and bolts to hold it on as you may find it will cause you a problem one day.

I have since taken this splitter off, as i got stuck coming down a steep ramp in a multistorey car park and had to pull it off to actually get out, and then when i put it back on, i got stuck moving the car on and off my drive at my new house.

£25 from SEAT and it took about an hour to fit. Attaching it was easy, it was the measuring up and positioning that took a while.

It's screwed on in 4 places using stainless self tappers.

The trim bits are just off for more paint atm. The original job got stone chipped really badly so they are redoing it for me. I am prepared this time though with some 3M paint protection film that will be going over the shiney new paint job. ;-)

Use Ethanol in water rather than soap when doing this. It will evaporate of much quicker.

Sorry not to teach!

Yeah it came with a little kit which included some isopropyl to dilute in water. The instructions with it say I should wait about 2 weeks before applying it to a freshly painted surface, so I have a little while to go yet running nude.

No there are no spacers and the wheels don't protude, I just made sure I had the correct offset wheels to fill the arches out nicely.
