None of the Agricultural clackety clack of a diesel is worth the extra cost
I think you are right but to be fair to it whilst it is not labouring it is almost silent even with the roof off unless there are walls either side to bounce the sound off but having said that it has got the nickname in our household as the french tractor, I do like the sound of a petrol engine in flight! I only pay £125 road tax same as my old 1.2 Fiat Bravo and my wifes 1.4 petrol Megane Coupe so can't really complain, did notice insurance has shot up this year, by £65

I was told it is becasue it is a convertable??? I thought it was last year as well unless it has changed over the year, she also told me people "forget" to put the roofs up on them and they get stolen, as I said, how can you forget to put the roof up, I think it might be a little obvious really that some thing is missing but hey insurance companies know better, or so they think, went with the post office at £210 fully comp!
I dont quite understand why the 1.9 is getting 47mpg
That is not to bad really for it this time of the year possibly in need of a filter change mid winter it pulls around 43mpg must admit I am a little heavy footed mostly traveling around 75/80mph, last summer going down to Cornwall on the M5 it was pulling 60mpg at 70mph, this week it is only pulling 46.5 that is crappy Asda fuel though runs best on either Esso or Shell, runs even worse on Tesco fuel so that must be real crap to the point I don't use tesco for fuel anymore as the economy I don't get out weights the cheap (well not so now) price of thier fuel.
