Leaking roof ?

I think I may have a slight leak ( half a dozen drops or so) in the roof seal/ top of the window.

Is this normal with a very large volume of rain over a 5-7 day period ?

Is it easy to repair and totally seal it ?

Mine leaks, I think most do to be honest, if not now definatly later.
rear quater lites leak for me I get a few runs down the inside of the window, I think it is coming from where the roof brakes behind the main glass overhead section, or perhaps the crappy little slots the rear windows close into, On my drive when the car faces downwards and with a left hand lean, the passenger front joint leaks on heavy rain, up in the corner by the windscreen, but not on the flat, looks like it can't handle the whole roof full of water if you know what I mean. On the flat both front drains take water away, on my drive I think the passenger one gets swamped by rain water if it rains a lot, overflows and drips into the car.
Remidies, well there are many from adjustments to new seals to vasalene, I think the list could be endless for water leaks, usually fruitless as well, my wife has a leak on her Coupe, for 5 years we still can't track it, as it is intermitant, it steams all the windows up in the car then it is gone as quick as it came leaving a wet patch on the carpet, from where? who knows.

Had the same problem, and initially couldn't figure it out.

When the car is parked on a slope, with the front end up, the weight of the hard top pulls it away from the top of the windscreen.

Once we realised that (we have a steep driveway) and started parking the car rear end up, we have not had any problems with water gettiing in.

From my research this is not a Renault problem, it applies to all makes of Hard Top Convertibles.

Sounds like a good point to me, that glass roof is a very hefty item, you can feel how differant the car handles with that glass lump stowed in the boot, I have heard of a few people with problems with leaks with the car facing up a slopem ine faces down a slope but leans to the left, so the passenger drain takes all the roof water that does not spill over the side.
Also think previous owner has had problem here as well as the trims don't fit as well on that side, at a guess I would say they have been removed at some time.

Mine leaked about half a year ago and got it fixed under warenty. They replaced the seals and the whole panel above the window. Dont know how much it cost but must say so far so good.

Haynes warns in big bold type (!) - to paraphrase - Don't even think about removing or fiddling with the roof due to the high number of components involved. Take it to the dealership.

I suppose a bit of lubrication wouldn't harm anything - otherwise I suppose live with it or spend £££

Find a specialist instead of a dealer unless you fancy selling one of your organs.

I find that my roof leaks sometimes. Not a major amount, but I got into the car today, and there were a few wet patches on the seats. It's annoying, but I've decided to just live with it. It's hardly a major issue. Best advice I could be would be to get bottom-part seat covers for the two front seats to protect it from the water. I have these, but I haven't put them on yet!

Mine leaks less than it used to as I adjusted the front windows..

You probably shouldn't do this, but it worked for me..

Lower all the windows.
Open the door and get underneath it,
Remove the rubber inserts from the base of the door.

Use a torx allen key / screwdriver to adjust the window height via the gold screws

- clockwise to lower, anticlockwise to raise the window.

I did half a turn on each - then left it until it rained, then repeated the process until I had no drips.

I got it wrong (or Google translate did) it's clockwise to raise and ant-clockwise to lower..

You are looking under the door? as if you were lying on your back, looking up at the base of the door?
Do you not have the rubber inserts, or when you remove them you don't see the adjusters when the windows are fully lowered?

Yeah have the rubber grommets, but no adjusters, it must have come after 2004.

Mine leaks where the rubber seals overlap between roof and windscreen at each side, which results in drips coming down from the tops of the side windows. The solution is easy once you realise that there is a bloody great hole in the seal, where the roof and window frame come into contact. It serves no purpose, (just a hollow cross section) and as long as you do not block the drain hole that goes from the lateral draining sill across the front window frame, you can block it up with any rubbery solution. Make sure you tidy it up so that it is flush, to make the roof contact it cleanly.
