Hiya,
Could you advise please, my daughter has 05 1.4 renault megane.
We noticed today that the engine cooling fan stayed on for a few minutes after the engine was switched off.
She has owned the vehicle, low mileage, for about 3 months, have not noticed this before, but having said that when the fan is running it is very quiet and we may not have noticed before.
Seems to be running ok and no warning lights.
I did phone renault and could only speak to a lady on service reception, she said she `thought` this was normal but
wasnt sure.
Can anyone please advise - Many Thanks
Engine Cooling Fan

Re: Engine Cooling Fan
I have had this happen once in Australia, It occured after sitting idle for a while with the air conditioner running, the tempriture was about 47C (not a typo) ambient.
The engine temp was normal, no higher than usual.
The fan is dual speed and only runs on loud and fast when necissary.

Re: Engine Cooling Fan
it's normal behaviour for Renaults for the fan to stay on when necessary even after engine stopped and car is locked.
