Yes I know you do but I was kind of asking for a page number(s) so I can find them on my copy of dialogys!!!

The circuit diagrams are not in the Dialogys. Download them from here:
https://www.renault-bg.com/smf/index.php?topic=51646.0
Locate the files with "Megane II" in the title. You possibly need NT8220A. The files are archives. Extract the archive -- it will give you a folder. Open it --there will be an index file. Click on it, the web browser will open with the navigation tool. Then follow the "intuitive" interface.

Hey mate, beginning to feel sorry for you. Dont worry i got something you might be interested in.....

A PHOTO LOL!!!

Secondly mate, the reason why this has also probably happened is that you have your seat lowered to much to the ground....it means that plug is more easily caught on the lower bar as you can see in the photo supporting the upper runner.

Ahhhhh!

That is so obvious in that photo why didn't I see that it could connect there? I am so thick!

I will have to pop out to my car after the football finishes and see if I can connect it up and if it removes the airbag light.

I didn't know you could raise and lower the height of your seat? I do have my seat quite far forward though. I'm not small, I'm 5'9" but my legs are not as long as most ppl. I think I only have 30" length jeans so I need to go forward quite a bit to reach the peddles so I think maybe this could have knocked it out. If the seat can be raised and lowered I'm not so sure I would be able to raise mine much because my hairstyle is often hitting the roof anyway with sitting more forward specially when I have it spiked & messed up.
Thanks!
John

Got that silly clip back on now. So easy its unbelievable. Did it in darkness with a poor quality torch.

Didn't fix the airbag light so I'm 100% convinced its the rotary switch that's bust.

Looks like I'll be stung about £250 for that.

Strange thing is when I started my car after I'd got that clip back on, the car started first time! That hasn't happened in at least 2 years! Couldn't believe it! No dephaser rattling noise! Straight to 1000rpm where it held steady and no stalling whatsoever. :rock

How does that happen? I use it every day and it never starts first time, but then I don't use it for 8 whole days, its just sat there and it starts first time and doesn't stall. Go figure!

Still have service light and airbag light lit up though unfortunately. You can guarantee with the Megane there is always going to be at least 1 thing wrong with it at any one time and often quite possibly more. Should have really bought an Alfa 2 years ago instead.

All the probs I've been having I telephoned the company I got my loan with a month or two ago to find out when it is all paid off. Unfortunately I think that would be the end of 2011!!! I forgot that I had one of those rip off deferred loans that you don't start to repay until a number of months after you get it, however the interest is still going up on the full value regardless, right from the off. You just don't realise at the time something that sounds good for you is actually designed to take more money off you.

The good thing is that if I sold privately I would probably get upto £1k more for my car than is outstanding on my loan (the settlement figure). Have seriously been considering ditiching it just for something more reliable and that has better performance. I could do with 50 or 60 more horses too.

The only trouble once that's done is where to get the £££ for a new used car. In the climate at the moment its not as easy to borrow money and interest rates quite higher than what the boe rates are. I have to take into account though how much more its likely to cost me keeping the Meg and what's gonna go wrong next? I darent total up how much it has cost me in bills so far and I've only had it 2½ years. I think it will be well into 4 figures though.

Cheers,
John

Hey mate dont pay any money just yet....Firstly take a look at the airbag loom. I would be more less trying and pressing all the connections together under the seat and the passenger side! If all else fails take the seat out and have a further investigation incase you nipped one of tht cables moving it back and forward all the while it was broken.

Im not sure what anyone would say to this but you could try and disconnect the battery to see if that resets the module
