the GT plate is plastic not metal.

A dealer would be the best place to start i'd imagine. I'm not sure the plate comes seperate from the bumber though. The GT bumber hangs lower than your standard meg bumper. You'd probably need to buy the whole bumber.

there is a custom exhaust from here. http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2451

Its expensive tho', not sure how much the standard one costs from a dealer.

Price 119 Euros plus p&p.

Can't really see any other difference than the plate between the standard and GT bumper, are you quite sure it hangs lower???

Exhaust shouldn't be a problem: have some exit pipes custom fabricated and welded to your existing backbox. There might be an extra bracket needed to support the pipes though, at least the 225 has one.

thats a shocking price for what is a small bit of plastic. I'm sure the bumber hangs lower so that the exhaust passes through the holes in the bumber. I cannot for the life of me remember where i read it mind you.

thanks alot , il check the dealer for a price on that bit otherwise il have to learn german lol, the bumper does not look any lower than standard but could be a few cm difference so fabricating custom exits sounds good :)

i looked at this a few months ago.

the 'GT' plate is £130 from renault and the exhaust rear box starts at £140+vat from a motor factors. The only place i've EVER seen that plate for sale outside of a dealer is that european ebay auction.

the bumper is a slightly different shape at the bottom to allow extra clearance for the pipework, it also has holes where the plate clips on. i was planning on converting mine with the standard bumper and just trying my luck.

i got the twin pipes welded onto the exhaust exit at the back of the car, then brought twin pipes thru the bumper and now just awaitin the gt plate. there is no noise but why would you want noise from a diesel all it does is make is sound shite so i decided to just go for the pipes welded onto the cat..Image

Much appreciated.

If you read back through the posts you'll see various places where you might be able to buy it, personally I'd start with e-bay.
