Have you checked for:
- a rolled up copy of The Sun on the dashboard
- MacDonalds wrappers in the footwell
- The words "I wish my Girlfriend was this dirty" written in the dirt on the back
- A note on the windscreen saying "Working at Number 15. If in your way, honk!"
- 4 mismatched tyres, 2 of which are worn beyond the legal limit

Any, or all of these could indicate that you accidentally drove a transit van away by mistake. :D

Is it suffering from any other symptoms, rough running, poor fuel economy, etc...
What mileage has it done?
When does it sound like a transit, at idle or when driving along as well?
Make improvements, not excuses!

For how long does the glow plug light stay on when started? If for several seconds, then it can be a temperature sensor.

Any other symptoms (inc. fuels consumptions etc.)?
