Electric Windows

Postby dudemark0 » Sat Apr 26, 2008 11:17 am

Hi everyone, I have a 2004 1.4 3dr rush. I'm hoping someone will be able to explain this problem to me.

My drivers side opens and closes like normal and when you switch the engine off you can still use the window, also when i lock the car twice the window will shut if it is open. This is a nice feature however the passenger side window will only work when the engine is running.

Can anybody tell me if it is suppose to be like this, or how i can get the passenger window to work like the drivers side.

Thanks for any help.

My 1.4 extreme operates the same way - i.e. deadlock close only on drivers side and driver's side window is the only one to operate with ignition on. However if you 'dummy' start by pressing start button with car in gear and foot on the brake but not clutch, full ignition is switched on and the passenger window works then.

when you deadlock the car it should close all windows and sunroof if you have one - as this is a condition of the cat 1 alarm ?!

My Extreme did not have an alarm fitted as standard, though I have since fitted the normal Renault one.
