Looking for a spoiler

Postby __spc__ » Sat Aug 11, 2007 6:17 am

Hi,

When I ordered my car, I was unsure of whether to add the rear spoiler option, so I didn't; I wish I had now.

Any tried and tested solutions to add a spoiler (preferably Renault parts)? How easy is the fitting?

Thanks for any pointers...

Steven.

Good spoiler is a great thing. There are 2 main types- with or without the 3rd stop light.
Without:

with:

Fitting is very simple- usually we use glass fitting glue.

Thats not my car by the way, aint fitted mine yet, sat in my bedroom, along with my h'lights.

Give us a shout if your after it, as renault parts counter will never find it, someone posted the code on megsport which im sure i could find again.

Think it just bolts on with sticky pads under the two ends.

No, it just comes primed, it has all the fittings and instructions, so if you've gota decent drill you can do it yourself, unfortunatly i havent so will probs have to pay some thiefing bodyshop £80 to drill to holes and screw it down

Just realised they've had to make a notch in the spoiler for the roof aerial! :) Hadn't noticed that before your pics, R55VYS.

Ive got a small aerial aswell which is at a diff angle so ive had to shorten it, so it doesnt scratch the spoiler, so its half the size now as it is on the pics.

I had a spoiler fitted before I picked up my new megane last week, it has the notch cut out for the ariel and I have to say that it just finishes off the car it looks fantastic! I have an extreme 1.5dci in pearl black and so far delighted with it. Filled her up with diesel today and set the trip to see what milage I get from her. I have not seen any similar cars around although one smarty pants in a black megane parked right beside me but they had no spoiler and didnt look as cool as mine did ha ha ha.........
