Megane GT colour choice.

Postby rowland75 » Tue Jun 12, 2007 5:49 pm

Hi guys

I need to pick my colour very soon, and like red metallics.

The brochure lists flame red, but the pic looks dull.

Is the current flame red the same colour as the "claret red" metallics I keep seeing?

Im after a bright red.

Thanks for any replies

Pete

Well after some internet research, my colour choice is to be changed.

Flame red is not for me.

Im going to go for the metallic dark grey/black colour options, just need to decide on which one.

Any help?

I have a B76 Flame red Mégane and it looks a bit dull in weak lightning.
However it looks amazing in sunlight.

Hi,, I have a silver GT and Mrs B has a dark grey, almost Black GT... I did thing that the dark gray was going to look better, but once they turned up I now like the silver better.. Either way they both look OK,, but the silver is definately easyier to keep clean -]

I went for Extreme Blue - just about impossible to gauge how the finished car looks from the brochure "fragments" of colour and the renault web-site isn't much help.
Anyway this blue looks fairly close to the blue on Subarus ( best thing I can think of to compare it with.)
Will get photos as soon as I can....but more than happy with the colour I chose.

Were I You, I'd try to avoid dark colours for GT, mainly for safety reasons.
GT in gloomy English day and weather on narrow, bended road simply might be terrifying for other motorists.

We went for a mineral blue GT and it looks fantastic, the colours really go with the interior of the car and set off the wheels and exhaust as well :-)
