Last year I moved to Frankfurt with work and becuase I am tight with money I went for a day trip pass on the euro tunnel and drove the 1300 miles in just under 36 hours.
Loads of red bull and bensons :P
I have done the same trip 4 times (ouch my milage contract on the car is well over)...

My speedo toped at 115mph flat out (but this was fully loaded with stuff for my apartment) and I even had a bike on the back
So expect that I was in real terms doing approx 105mph, not bad for a little 1.5 t/d

1300 miles in 36 hours !! thats only an average of 36.11 mph, were you in reverse !!!!!!!!! ( just jokin wit ya )
Frankfurt-Derby
bit confused about this post ?
I live in Germany not far from Frankfurt, travelling reguarly back to England.
Also 20 yrs experience truck driving.
I reckon its only about 600-650 miles ,top to Derby, and would allow about 10-11 hrs with time for a stop.
My best time to Gillingham Kent, is under 7 hrs, and I'm a bit further away than Frankfurt.
That was travelling through the early hours of the morning, then straight on to the hovercraft.
Averaged 101mph on the computer with my old 21 turbo(fantastic car )
so not exactly legal,
Calais is about 400 miles from me and always do it in under 5hrs,8hrs in a truck.
Sorry, but I think you must have gone the wrong way.
Check online with a route finder and you will see how far it should be.
