Auto Lock or Not?

Postby Privilege » Thu May 05, 2005 10:53 am

In line with the discussion on the keyless card, of those who have this feature, how many cars automatically lock themselves just by stopping the car, getting out and walking from the car - not to be confused with unlocking the car, not opening a door and have the car re-lock itself - we all know that works :)

OK, so here goes :)

BTW mine doesn't

They only "Autolock" if you lock then unlock the doors but do not open the doors..

Try it..

Exactly correct and I guess the poll result so far prove it :D

So I guess the person who says theirs does lock, just by walking out of range has a problem

Someone told me that Renault have to dumb down the UK hansfree version to satisfy the UK insurance companies' requests. The french version unlock automatically when the key is in range.

In Portugal is only unlock when you activate the door-handle sensor (if hansdsfree card featured)!
There's no auto-unlocking by getting near the car!

Isn't this an available option on UK cars.
I seem to remember being offered a "Hands Free" keyless card for about £700 more. I thought to myself - I'd rather reach into my pocket to pick the key up than to pay that.

EDIT:

Just realised, you are actually talking about the hands free version.
Mine you have to actually put in a slot on the dash.
