Personally I'd take it out, would probably be about the same price as buying a new one but a lot less problematic in the long run. I think it depends on personal preference as the cars smokes a lot without a dpf. Just depends whether it will bother you or not.

Silly question but what is dpf and its function?

A DPF is a diesel particulate filter. Renault also refer to it as an FAP. It collects the partials from the exhaust and has this to meet the euro E4 emissions. The partials collected are incinerated by high temperatures from the engine or by pumping fuel in to the filter. If the partials are not incinerated the DPF can become blocked.

Thats correct, motorway miles means the engine will be at a high temp for a longer time giving it more chance to incinerate the particles. I know on some cars the DPF actually has a fuel burner in to incinerate the particles to stop it clogging

Hi, can you help me?
I installed a headunit and I'm trying to connect my steering wheel controls.
