LED Indicator Upgrade

Postby TechHunt » Sun Jan 19, 2020 4:27 pm

Hi there,

I want to change my indicators to LEDs.

I only want to change the back as I am going to do a headlight cluster change in the future.

But the relay thinks the bulbs have gone because they are drawing so little power.

How do I stop them from flashing fast (relay thinks they’re dead)?

I have just received some in the post. Also for the brake/side lights do I need these as it throws asr and cruise control errors, but once I put the normal bulbs in they disappear.

The same problem would apply here wouldn’t it, as the car thinks the bulbs have gone

I used Auto Lighting LEDs for all my lights in and out of the vehicle. The indicators are really bright and work flawlessly without any issues!

These are the indicators I have on the front and rear, they're a little pricey now but when the sales on they're worth getting.

Indicators: https://www.auto-lighting.co.uk/product-eng-4869-Indicator-LED-Car-Bulb-382-581-16W-High-Power-P21W-PY21W-YELLOW.html

Note: If you do buy them they're PY21W all round apart from the side repeaters which are a 5W.

Hope this helped!

Philip
