Megane II 1.9 dci smoking white

Postby kavkec98 » Wed May 15, 2019 6:35 pm

Hey!
I am new here and i dont know if anyone opened this kind of topic, but my megane II 2003 1.9 dci 120hp 88kw started smoking white, like pure white. Yesterday my brakes stopped working and the mechanic said its possibly vaccum pump that failed and today it started smoking white. Havent got time to drive it to mechanic. So if anyone would know why it started smoking please tell me. Could it be becouse vaccum pump isnt functioning right?

Yes. If brake fluid leaks from a brake master cylinder into the vacuum servo, then you can get clouds of white smoke coming out of the exhaust.
