Hi all. I'm considering a 1.6 petrol Maganne Cabriolet. 82k mikes £2,995. Previous owner has had several electrical repairs and replacements including roof motors. I can ask for further details. Haven't test driven yet but will do at the weekend.
What's the general feeling about this model and age etc? I'm gathering that they are prone to electrical issues. Would present owners buy another or warn me to keep away ?
Any advice as to what to look out for would be very welcome.
Thanks
1.6 VVT

It's a 58 plate. Price aside, do you recommend one of this age ? It's a dealer, he may drop the price or extend his 3 month warranty to six. i said I'd test drive it on Saturday anyhow.

I may have jumped the gun not knowing the year but still shop around anyhow. Mines an 05 plate and people want you to give them away. I've seen prices as low as £400 for similar to mine.

Thanks for replies and links. I should also add that this one is an automatic - which I'm told is quite rare.

Re: 1.6 VVT
Having had a 1.6 I'd strongly recommend you look at the 2.0 either in petrol or diesel form.
The 1.6 is a little under powered and this will be made worse with the increased weight of the cabriolet.
