Pulled up on drive. Stopped engine. Removed card. Went inside. Heard fan running.
Half an hour later, daughter says, "why is the car engine running, dad"?
And it was. Car locked. Key in house. Engine running.
WTF?

Forgot to mention. This was the second psychotic episode of the day.. the first was a full-on "lockfit" moment.
Pulled up in Morrison's car park, both front windows open as it was stupidly hot. Removed card. All doors locked. All windows automatically closed. Doors refused to open until I hit the "lock" button.

So, that's two "Diamond of Death" moments in one day.

What next?

Modern day electronics, that IS a good one.
Doubt you'll get an answer, heard of unlocks and windows going down at night. l guess it could be mobile signals etc etc.
lf it happens again l would put a kill switch so it can't run, specially if there are kids about.

The engine started itself?!! At least the car didn't steal itself while speeding through a dozen of cameras...

These two incidents involve different computers, both connected to the same UPC and battery. If there are no warning lights on the dash, then you have found a dangerous design fault, yet another one. Is it a hands free immobiliser system?

We have thought we turned off the Megane a few times as it is so quiet at idle.
If you remove the keycard first, or it has come out (even slightly) since starting the engine, you have to press STOP twice to confirm you have the keycard on you.
