Clutch pedal problem
Hi newbie here I have just bought a 06 megane estate and the clutch pedal was fine for the week and now it as started acting up I can only describe it as like a automatic clutch adjuster was missing some teeth, depressing the pedal or even releasing the pedal it clicks loudly and if I am pressing it down jumps a inch or so, I am getting used to it my old Citroen Xantia had a automatic adjusted cable clutch and that did the same thing BUT the megane is hydraulic so I presume it's not got a adjuster involved with it...any ideas would be appreciated..Thanks in advance

Re: Clutch pedal problem
the short linkage from the pedal to clutch cylinder on the leftside of pedal was not connecting properly , it kept slipping off not fully but enough to make the clutch pedal jerk, i solved this by using a length of elastic and tieing the pedal and shaft together at the joining point so the connection is now more secure, i used elastic to get a bit of "give" in the join

Well done on using your initiative, let's hope it holds.
At least, next time if it happens, you know what the go is.
