Hi all,
I had my megane 1.9 dci diagnosed today and found 3 fault codes. It was done using a snap on plug in diagnostic from a local garage but not sure what the codes mean.
1# code 139 pedal potentionmeter circuit track 1 short+12volt current.
2# code 689 air co pressure sensor circuit low input
3# code 542 speed request - current
I would be very grateful if anyone could shed some light on any of these codes..
The problem I'm having with the car is
Power lacking when pulling off. The power just seems to die but the car doesn't cut out. It'll only rev to a max 1200RPM then goes back to normal. It as happened a few times now and can't find out the problem.
Please help me find out the problem so I can get it running nice.
Thanks for looking. Karl.

Re: Fault code help needed.
The fault codes are described in MR366MEGANE1.pdf - this file is in the sticky thread with manuals.
The codes listed by you are in a strange format due to a funny scanner used. You will have to look them up by textual description, which means going through many many pages of the workshop manual. Good luck!
The engine is limited to certain RPM because it detects a dangerous fault and is trying to save either you or itself. Just fix those things and it will start revving happily to 4500.
