i'm about to book my meg in for its first service and i was looking at renaults online service booking thingy to get an idea of cost. But then i found this.

For a 12 month service its £200.59.
But its £237.84 for the 18k miles service.

Now seeing as my car has to be serviced after either 1 year or 18k miles, whatever comes first, should they not both cost the same?

My car, (GT150 2.0 dCi) has done just under 7k miles.

you'd think so but no.

some components are "time sensitive" in that they need to be replaced after x months. some are due to amount of use on them. so if you haven't done 18k miles before 12 months.. you have less things to replace/change.

Try quotes from an independant also, you'll probably(almost certainly) find it's a lot cheaper.

also,try different dealers,they are not going to quote you the same price as I have seen before.
