HI,

I am thinking of doing my own mini service ( oil change and oil flilter change) I have a few questions if anyone can help?

1. is it pretty easy?
2. that oil filter looks like it might be a pain to get to, ive heard you have to take the front bumper off, is this true? if not any tips or tricks to make this as pain free as poss.

Thanks for listening

I recently did mine and no the bumper doesn't have to come off. Need an oil filter tool to loosen it but you can get your hand up once loose. I must say though next time i'm taking mine with oil and filter to a garage and just pay for labour.
with hassle of jacking car up taking off the undertray then getting oil everywhere as i drained it and putting it all back i don't think it's worth it.

Welcome.
Yes. The whole procedure takes one or two hours depending upon whether you change the brakes or not.
No. The bumper does not need to be removed.
What car do you have? Everything have been described several times in various messages, but, I am sure, if you start the appropriate thread in the Ownership problems section, then many will be happy to help.
