Why cant people walk past someone washing a car without saying some 'im trying to be funny, but it wont work and im sure im the only person to have thought it' line such as,

its going to rain
you can do mine if you like
they only charge a couple quid at tescos (yeah to drop the sponge on the floor, pick it up and continue to grind grit in your paintwork)
at this time of year it will end up dirty again
isnt it a bit cold (yep a neighbour told me he wont wash the cars in the winter as its cold but is out there everyweekend in the summer, when there is no salt and grit on the roads ready to eat your paintwork)
and then there was the women who tutted and muttered a terrible waste of water under her breath (really because we have had no rain this past year the aquatherms are running on empty and all the lakes have dried out)

just leave me alone, im out there because its a couple of hours where the wife and kids leave me alone to some peace and quiet and i get brownie points from her indoors for cleaning her car and im on a water meter so im paying for the stuff.

Well once this lady told me while I was washing the car that is it true? I asked what and then realised she was looking at my T-shirt which read I am hung like a horse

at this time of year it will end up dirty again

what I usually say is,"you know when you go to work and by the end of the day,you need a shower;but because you know it will happen again tomorrow,you forget about washing yourself completely,right????"

but in the case of one of the guys in our IT dept he doesn't wash at all, in fact his smell has a life of its own, being a Terry pratchett fan i call him foul ole ron on homage to his smellier creations.
