act of kindness

Postby Bumpy macaroon » Fri Jan 23, 2009 11:30 am

On way home wednesday, left early to pick up kids when the car started to sway about felt like it was being buffeted by high winds, thought thats not right then heard a strange sound almost like grumbling wheel bearings. Pulled onto hard shoulder of a junction coming off the A14 popped on the hazards and jumped out walked round to rear nearside to find a very flat and hot rear wheel.

Great spare out start changing wheel, had got to the point of pulling of the wheel when a ford pulled up, bloke gets out and asks if i need a hand, I was quite ok, but he got down and started help fitting spare, what a star, so many thanks to you.

As for the trye its well and truely broken hole about 6mm in the tread and the outer side wall is badly damaged so a new one is being fitted today whilst it in for its first service and yes renault were quite competitive on the price for the rubber.
