Coolant change.

I'm thinking of having my coolant changed for winter (well a local garage has an offer on to do it for 30 quid) 
When is the official age/mileage time to do it. Can't find anything about it in my maintenance manual, all i know is that it hasn't had a stamp in the back to say its ever been done and now my Meg is over 5 years old maybe its time for some fresh stuff?
