A Sad Day!

Postby robznet » Tue Oct 28, 2008 12:51 am

Oh well - the end of an era maybe, - my youngest daughter has decided to ditch the Meg 1.4 Dynamique because she (eventually) wants a Mini Cooper. It will be replaced (temporarily) with a Clio 1.2 16v, same colour as the Meg (pearl black) and with climate control! - the first Clio 1.2 I have seen with this option.

The reason behind the deal is that she gets a reasonable sum of money to pop in the bank, saves on fuel and insurance and hopefully can afford the Mini in July 2009 or there abouts. I personally will be very sad to see it go - it was bought by myself new in July 2005.

They say good things come to an end, I agree but on the bright side, we will still have 3 Renaults in the family, (my 1.5dci Meg, my eldest daughter's 07 Clio Campus Sport and my youngest daughter's Clio 1.2 16v).

The "getting rid of" happens next Saturday, I will post some pics when I have stopped crying!!!! :-(

Thanks for your support Bumpy. Yes - a German Mini!! :banghead Should have always been British, but maybe they have the technology to make them better than we ever could! Even sadder now! :-(

That is sad. Maybe the mini will turn out to be an unreliable dog and she will see how truly reliable our little Renaults are and come back to what is best................

What a load of Jove's comforters we are   hope she's okay with the Mini, I quite like the look of them myself but, as it is a bastardisation of the original marque I could never have one
