Tourer rear discs with bearings - heads up

Postby Ratchet » Mon Nov 09, 2015 2:07 pm

I finally picked up my Megane Tourer after being faffed about by the DVLA

One of it's many issues is a screaming wheel bearing, which I initially thought was on the front. But it now looks like it's the rear.......... far to many years of listening to rock music has dulled my hearing :D

Apparently the Tourer rear discs (270mm) are larger than the saloons, and appear to be more expensive :( , but then I spotted these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141809543397? ... EBIDX%3AIT

I've double checked with the seller, they do come as a pair, and are complete with bearings and sensor ring. Not bad for £42 including delivery ;-)

They should be here in a couple of days, so I'll confirm if they arrive complete, and if the bearings are already fitted IDC.

It says at the bottom of the page, that the bearings and ABS rings are fitted.

They've just arrived and I'm happy to confirm that the bearings are indeed fitted, plus dust caps and stud nuts are also included as well 8-) .

Great value for £42 a pair

Stubborn rusted bolts and had to take a sledge hammer to the wheels because they'd "welded" themselves to the hubs. All done in freezing cold wind and rain, but the jobs a good un and she's now running quietly.

Next job is to sort out the ABS :(
