Wifes lost hers for her 2010 Ford Ka, before I bend over and get spanked by the dealers (cheapest quote £197) does anyone have any suggestions as to where we might get a replacement at a more reasonable price?

what sort of key is it, eg laser cut, or keyfob

It's one of the flip out ones, that's all I know suspect it's laser cut in which case the advice to check timpsons that I've got elsewhere may be worthless and, even if they can do it, it would only be a non zapper one which wifey is quite happy to put up with - hardly surprising if they can do it as it'll be around £40 rather than nearly £200 from the stealer.

I think that integrated immobilizer makes it expensive. That's the point

I never updated this, sorry. We found the lost key thank goodness, we'd have shelled out £50 at Timpsons for a non zapper one if they'd have had any of the blanks in stock which thankfully they didn't and it was found before we needed to go back

Timpsons can code the key as a dealer would and some Timpsons can do the remote zapper key for around £115 so worth bearing in mind if anyone loses theirs.
