I think what has been discussed in the past about engines becoming smaller and more powerful is slowly going over to diesel as well.
0 - 62 in 8 secs and still 57 mpg which sounds really good.
I hope Renault is considering this as well.

Renault has a better one, 1.6 dCi 130.
And BMW had its 2.0d with 204 BHP.
